Marsha Lynn Sumrall, 70, passed away peacefully at home Sept. 30, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Joyce Holmes. Marsha was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and sister. Her warmth, kindness and ability to see the good in everyone made her the beacon of love and light to all who knew her.
Marsha is survived by her beloved husband Jerrell Roger Sumrall; her children Jeanette Bracknell (Jarvis) of Gulfport, Alex Kendall (Stephanie) of Joplin, Mo., Chad Kendall of Bakersfield, Calif., Christopher Sumrall (Katrina) of Long Beach and Sheena Sumrall of Sandersville; brothers Michael and Chuck Holmes, both of California; and grandchildren Ariel Jameson of Gulfport, Hailey Kendall of Fort Worth, Texas, Brayden Bracknell of Gulfport, Hayden Kendall of Joplin, Wyatt, Lyrik and McKenna Kendall of California and Savannah Maxey, AJ Sumrall, Olivia Sumrall and Jonah Sumrall, all of Long Beach. Great-grandchildren Warren Jameson and Braxton Kendall were a source of immense pride and joy for Marsha.
Marsha's legacy will live on through the love she gave to her family and friends. She was a beautiful soul who enriched the lives of everyone she met, and she will be deeply missed.
