Michael Crowe

Michael Wayne Crowe, aged 72, passed away suddenly due to an illness on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at his residence in Webb City, Missouri. He entered this life on November 5, 1951, in Pittsburg, Kansas, born to the union of Henry and Edna (Smith) Crowe.

Raised in Nevada, Missouri, Michael was a graduate of Nevada High School, class of 1969. Michael's journey as a fireman began with the Nevada Fire Department, where his commitment to service and protection of others was quickly evident. 






In 1982, he took a significant step by moving to Webb City, Missouri, where he continued his career with the Webb City Fire Department. Michael dedicated 23 years to the department before retiring in April of 2005, leaving behind a legacy of courage and community service.

Michael's life was not solely defined by his work but also by his passions and interests. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and solace in the quiet moments by the water. His hands skillfully crafted beauty in leatherworking, a hobby that showcased his artistic side. On the golf course, Michael's spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie shone through. His love for shooting sports reflected his precision and focus.








Family was the cornerstone of Michael's life. He is survived by his two sons, Justin Crowe and wife, Sarah, of Crestwood, Missouri and Brian Crowe and wife, Emmy, of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Julia and Samuel Crowe; two adopted grandchildren, Makayla and Braden Johnson; a brother, Joseph Crowe of Jefferson City, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Janie Dickey. The memories of his unwavering support, his infectious laugh, and his ability to bring light into the lives of others will be cherished and kept alive by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
