(From Parker Mortuary)Warren Ray McCall, age 87 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at National Health Care where Warren has been a resident for the past 5 years. Warren was born November 04, 1936 in Joplin to the late John and Mable (Johnson) McCall.
Warren graduated from Joplin High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Cold War. After his honorable discharge, Warren went to work for the railroad where he was injured and moved back to the Joplin area. It was during that time that Warren purchased several rental properties and invested many hours taking care of them. He received his HVAC certifications and bought and sold used appliances. Warren even attended a few semester of Law School in his mid 50’s.
Surviving Warren include sons, Alexander Parker and girlfriend, Katie of Joplin, David John McCall of Texas and a daughter, Michelle McCall of Texas; two grandchildren, Tyler and Mycah Parker; great grandchildren, Aisiah, Laiden, Aceyn and Arielle.
Other than his parents, Warren is preceded in death by his siblings, Violet Dickerson and David McCall.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri. Internment of ashes will take place at a later date at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.
