Dorothy Bettis

Dorothy Jean Bettis was born in St Louis, MO, on August 11,1955. She was born to Bennie and Victoria LaMastus. She passed away at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center on October 8, 2024. There will be a celebration of life held at the home of her sister, Patty Vincent on Saturday October 19, 2024.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Christopher Bettis (Misty), and Troy LaMastus (Shelly) both of Monett, MO; five grandchildren; her mother, Victoria LaMastus; three brothers, Mickie LaMastus (Mary Beth) of Monett Mo, Charlie LaMastus of Texas, Allen LaMastus of Verona; three sisters, Patricia Vincent (Steve), Nancy Blair, and Georgette Kristek (Craig) all of Aurora Mo. She has a multitude of nieces, nephews and even greats.

She is preceded by her husband Bobby Bettis, her father Bennie LaMastus, sister Betty Moore, her niece Jennifer Wishon. Dorothy was third oldest of her siblings. She was a caretaker and homemaker all of her life. She had various hobbies. Cooking was her main career. She enjoyed bargaining whether it was buying or selling. She lived most of her life in Sarcoxie, Missouri. She befriended lots of people. She loved her family, old cars, Elvis and James Dean. She enjoyed flea markets and festivals where she could participate as a vendor. Dorothy is loved and will be missed by lots of people.
