Norma James

Norma June (Tanner) James was born on March 8, 1933, in Treece, Kansas, the daughter of Lloyd Lee Tanner Sr. and Bessie (Tuggle) Tanner. She entered into rest on October 4, 2024, in Granby Missouri, at the age of 91. 

On February 25, 1950, she married the love of her life, Joseph James and he preceded her in death on October 24, 1992. 







She is survived by their three children, Dennis James and wife Renniah of Granby, Kenneth James and wife Theresa of Granby and Connie McCumber of Stark City; ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren; one brother J.D. Tanner of Granby. 03/

Norma was a member of the Granby Christian Church, and she worked at the Granby Garment Factory for many years until she retired. Norma had a strong love for her family. She loved planting flowers and yard work. She took great pride in getting the Granby yard of the month a few times. She also loved baking cookies at Christmas time with her grandkids, playing with all her grandbabies, crocheting and trapping animals in her back yard.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, four siblings and a son in law.






 

Norma will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in all the love she shared and the lives she touched.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 11:30 to 12:30p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri. Graveside service will follow at 1:00p.m. at Granby Memorial Cemetery in Granby, Missouri Tj Angel will officiate.
