(From Bedene Funeral Home)Della M. Johns, 83, of Pittsburg, Kansas died at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Mercy Hospital at Pittsburg, Kansas.
Mrs. Johns was born April 22, 1941 at Bulger, Pennsylvania the daughter of John Franklin and Iva Belle Emler Latshaw. Della was a homemaker and a resident of Pittsburg since 1969. She was raised in Coraopolis and Burgettstown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Burgettstown High School.
She married Roy A. Johns on June 8, 1987 at Pittsburg, Kansas. Mr. Johns preceded her in death August 30, 2016.
Survivors include six sons, Ronald (Meghan) Doughty of Pittsburg, Kansas, Eddie (Cathy) Doughty of Stanhope, Iowa, Roy (Dawn) Johns Jr. of Carthage, Missouri, William (Kisha) Johns of Pittsburg, James (Patricia) Johns of Universal City, Texas, and Stephen Johns of Baxter Springs, Kansas, two daughters, Brandee (Travis) Johns of Mindenmines, Missouri and Melissa Johns of Frontenac, Kansas, one brother, Arthur Latshaw of Williamstown, New Jersey, twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and one great grandchild due in February.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Misty Dawn Johns, a son, Lawrence Johns, and a brother Lloyd Latshaw.
Mrs. Johns has been cremated according to her wishes. Private family graveside services for the cremains will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
