(From Clark Funeral Home)James Leroy Vosburgh was born on January 21, 1948, in Picher, Oklahoma, one of six children to Harlow Avern and Edna Faye (Marshall) Vosburgh. He entered into rest on September 29, 2024, at his home in Blue Eye, Missouri, at the age of 76.
James graduated from Reedley High School in Reedley, California. He relocated from California to Neosho and worked at Tyson Foods for many years and then worked at Aaron’s Automotive in Joplin. He moved to Blue Eye, Missouri on October 31, 1999, and worked at Big Cedar Lodge until his retirement.
James enjoyed being with his family, fishing, was a self-taught guitarist and enjoyed music.
On October 23, 1986, in Miami, Oklahoma, James and Kathy Williams were united in marriage and Kathy survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Michelle Chapman and husband, Ryan and Lindsay Jarrett and husband, Thomas, all of Neosho; four grandchildren, Sophia and Griffin Chapman and Titus and Clara Jarrett; one brother, David Vosburgh of Clovis, California; his father-in-law, Billy Williams of Seneca; sisters-in-law, Patricia Sanders and husband, James of Neosho and Carolyn Ritter and husband, Randal of Seneca and brothers-in-law, Billy Williams and wife, Lyn and Jackie Williams and wife, Stacey of Neosho.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Clara May Patton, Harlow Vosburgh, Charles Vosburgh and Margaret Graves and his mother-in-law, Beverly Williams.
