Andrea C. Richardson, age 70, of Webb City, Mo. passed away at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at her home following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Andrea was born July 28, 1944 in Walla Walla Washington. At a young age she moved to Springfield, Mo. where she graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1962. Following her marriage she moved with her husband on Highway Patrol assignments to Carthage, Rolla, and back to Webb City in 1996. Andrea was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carthage, the American Heart Assoc. and was a former member of M.A.D.D. She was the Webb City founder of Angel Mommies, and helped her husband establish the Shop With a Cop program in Webb City.
Andrea married Don Richardson September 29, 1963 in Springfield and he survives. Additional survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Cummins and husband Jason, Webb City, one son, Aaron Richardson and wife Tricia, Webb City, five grandchildren; PFC Joshua Cummins, Garner Cummins, Cassandra Richardson, Caylee Richardson, and Kyle Richardson, and two great grandchildren; Daeli Gregory, and Aedyn Cummins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Carthage with Dr. Carl Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Church in Carthage. Memorial contributions are requested to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in care of the Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
