Julie Marie Peterson, age 74, of Prattville, AL, formerly of Pierce City, MO died on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Merry Wood Lodge in Elmore, AL. Mrs. Peterson was born in MO on Sunday, August 27, 1939, the daughter of Andrew and Marie (Hays) Holland. Julie Marie married Francis Peterson and he preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Peterson was a member of the Pierce City Baptist Church.

Surviving are the following: two sons, John Peterson of Prattville, AL and Francis Peterson of Syracuse, NE; two daughters, Sarah Dill of Conway, MO and Linda Kisling of Webb City, MO; two sisters, Glenna Mobley and Irene Wilson both of Pierce City, MO; seven brothers, Eugene Holland of Wentworth, MO, Harvey Holland, Tommy Holland, Norman Holland, Willie Holland, James Holland, and Bobby Holland all of Pierce City, MO; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City, MO on Friday, November 28, 2014, beginning at 1:00 PM with Brother Pierce Gibson officiating. Mrs Peterson has been cremated at her request. Arrangements are under the direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
