Yvonne Rea

Yvonne Ruth Rea, age 74 of Joplin, passed away on Thursday November 13, 2014, at Landmark Hospital, following an illness.

Yvonne was born on February 6, 1940 in St Louis, Mo., the daughter of the late Timothy Isaac and Ruth Ellen (Henson) McGuirk. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She enjoyed needle work and all types of word puzzles.

She married Delbert Eugene Ford and he preceded her in death in October 1972. She then married Harold Rea and he preceded her in death in August 2012. She was also preceded in death by one son, Glen Ford; one brother, Jack McGuirk, Sr.; and infant sister Linda Kay McGuirk.

Yvonne is survived by one daughter, Ann Marie Ford, Joplin; two sons, Delbert Wayne Ford, Joplin and Douglas Allen Rea, Joplin; four brothers, Lyle McGuirk, Frank McGuirk, Tim McGuirk, Mike McGuirk; one sister, Neta Boyd; four grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Lewis, Eric Lee Powell, Wendy Corene King, and James Glen Ford; and four great grandchildren, Tasha Cornila Leib, Amber Lee Lewis, Bria Elizabeth Ford, and Ozzrick Wyled Powell.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home. Reverend Gary Balfour will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home.
