Darlene Williams “Nana”, age 75 of Webb City, Mo. passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Freeman Hospital following an illness.
Darlene was born on December 24, 1938 in Mindenmines, Mo. the daughter of Harley and Grace (Ramage) Davis. She worked for many years at Eagle Picher as a supervisor before retiring in 1999. Darlene loved flowers but most importantly her grandchildren.
She married Wilfred R. Ward on May 4, 1954; he preceded her in death on September 26, 1985. Darlene was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill A. Williams, her parents and by a daughter, Tammy Lee Ward. Survivors include three daughters; Penny Lundien of Pineville, Mo., Rebeccah Johnson of Webb City and Terry Ward also of Webb City, one sister; Beverly Black of Prosperity, Mo., one brother; William Boyd of Pittsburg, Ks., 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Hedge-Lewis Chapel. Pastor Joe Morris will officiate. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Mo. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m.
