Kathryn 'Katie' Jane Heilig was born July 8, 1998 in Joplin, Missouri. She entered into rest on November 13, 2014 in Kansas City, Missouri, following a sudden illness at the age of 16.
Katie was a lifelong area resident and a student at East Newton High School, where she was a cheerleader and two year letterman. She was studying to be a neonatal nurse at Crowder Vo-tech while attending high school. She was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and the Spring Valley 4-H Club, Diamond and was employed by Wade Management Systems and Oasis Car Wash Systems. She was looking forward to being an Aunt to her first niece to be born in January, 2015.
