Stephen D. DeBerry, Jr., age 33, Joplin, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, November 9, 2014 at his home after a sudden illness.
Stephen was born November 14, 1980 and had lived in the Joplin area all of his life.
He worked as a supervisor for Hampshire Pet Products for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his children play sports. He loved to fish and was a proud fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Stephen married Hollie Spradling on May 25, 2008 in Jane, Missouri. She survives.
Additional survivors include his children, Cydney DeBerry, Jordan DeBerry and Alexa DeBerry, all of the home; his father, Stephen D. DeBerry, Sr., Webb City; his mother, Becky Ogle, Webb City; siblings, Michael DeBerry, Webb City, Adam DeBerry, Webb City, Jessica Comer, Seneca; father-in-law, Paul Spradling, Mt. Vernon; mother-in-law, Suzanne Groff, Mt. Vernon; sister-in-law, Bobbie Spradling and her son, Jaxon England, Mt. Vernon; aunt, Pat Moore, Webb City; uncle, Vernon Gibson, Webb City; and several other extended family members and many friends.
A visitation is planned for Wednesday from 6-8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
