Donald Wayne (Don) Marston, age 79 of Diamond, MO, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at his home after a short illness.
Born September 13, 1935 in Woodward, OK, he was the son of the late Marion Marston and Goldie Audrey Vaughan Marston and had lived in the Joplin area the past 51 years. Don worked for Addressograph-Multigraph Corp in Kansas City and was transferred to Joplin. He then owned and operated Addressing Products Company, later working for Schreiber Foods until retiring in 2001. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and attended First Church of the Nazarene in Joplin.
On August 22, 1958 he married Georgianna Blumenstock in Springfield, MO. She survives.
Additional survivors include four sons, Joel Marston and wife Tina of Las Vegas, NV, Tim Marston and wife Ashley of Columbus, GA, Matthew Marston of Joplin, Mark Marston and wife Carolyn of Kansas City, MO; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Marston and wife Shirley of Loveland, CO, Jimmie Marston and wife Merlene of Ponca City, OK; one sister, Lois Marston Hughes of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Don was preceded in death by eight siblings.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Parker Chapel with Rev. Jay Dick officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with family members serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bill & Virginia Leffen Center for Autism, in care of the mortuary.
