Norma June (Crumbliss) Childress, 82, was born in Buckner, Missouri to Ernest and Cecil Crumbliss on February 16, 1928. She died April 10, 2014 in Webb City, MO.
Norma was married to Virgil Childress in Miami, OK and their union produced two children who survive; Carl Childress of Neosho and Mary Childress of Joplin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh Childress of Scottsdale, AZ and Ryan Childress of Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Freda Lawrence and Barbara Bower, both of Twin Falls, ID; two brothers, Leroy Crumbliss of Twin Falls, ID and Melvin Crumbliss of Tucson, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Ray and Paul Crumbliss and on sister, Sandra Wallin of Tucson, AZ. Norma spent her career in caring for the sick and dying and retired from St. John’s Hospital in Joplin in 1990.
