William O. Pulliam age 74, passed away at his home in Carthage. William was born June 16, 1939 in Owenton, KY to Oscar and Ada Fern Pulliam. William and his wife returned to Carthage, her home town after serving in the United States Air Force for over 24 years where he was awarded many medals and honors. William worked for the R-9 school district as a maintenance supervisor for 20 years. William enjoyed shuffle board, dancing, bowling, fishing and hunting and had a passion for county music.
William was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Carnes on March 11, 1972 in Hays Kansas, she survives
William is survived by four daughters Karen Ann Pulliam, Ginger K Beauchemin, Helen Jean Walker, Milisa Myers, four sons William O Pulliam Jr., Homer LeRoy Myers, Steaven Myers, Randall J. Myers. Ten grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, one sister Betty Ann Pulliam.
William is preceded by his parents, one daughter Diana Lynn Pulliam, two sisters Evelyn Pulliam and Patsy Pulliam, and one niece Brenda Pulliam.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 5, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home; Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday April 4, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Full military honors will be observed, online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com. Contributions are to Muscular Dystrophy or Wounded Warriors in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
