Sleta Faye Shipman age 78, Duenweg, Mo passed away Sunday April 6, 2014 following a lengthy illness.
She was born November 11, 1935 in Duenweg, Mo. to Claude and Maudie (Wilson) Conrow.
Sleta was a homemaker most of her life. She did work as an administrative assistant for Cecil Brill Construction for a period of time. Sleta was a lifetime resident of Duenweg, Mo. and attended the First Baptist Church of Duenweg, Mo.
She married Vernal “Red” Shipman on June 11, 1953 in Duenweg, Mo. and he survives. She is also survived by one son; David Shipman and wife Starla, Carthage, Mo., two daughters Dini Donoho and husband, David, Duenweg, Mo., Pam Powers and husband, Jeff, Duquense, Mo., one brother Earl Conrow, Saginaw, Mo., one sister Virginia Miksell, Duenweg, Mo., five grandchildren, Dustin, Devin, Danielle, Dakota, Chelsey, and 2 great grandsons, Noah and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her long time friend and bingo buddy, Billie Bard.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 10, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Duenweg, Mo., with Pastor Greg Gooch and Randy Wilson, minister officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
