Christina L. (Newman) Gibby went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2017 while hospitalized at Freeman Hospital following a sudden illness.
Christina was born June 20th, 1980 in San Diego, CA and had lived in Joplin for over twenty years. She was a real estate agent for Charles Burt Realtors of Joplin, and will be remembered most as a joyful, loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.
She is survived by those she adored most… her husband, Jerry (Jay) Gibby, daughter, Kelsey Gibby, son, Jayson Gibby, all of the home; her parents, Steven and Cynthia Newman of Joplin, sister, Trina Anderson and husband Doug Anderson of Joplin, brothers; Steven Newman and Daniel Newman, both of Joplin, and a new baby nephew, Steven Douglas Anderson.
A memorial service to honor Christina will be held at Mason Woodard Mortuary on Thursday, August 3rd with visitation from 5pm-6pm and the service to begin at 6pm, with Pastor Matt Glover officiating.
