Vickey Sue Phillips of Joplin. MO passed from this life on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was 60.
Vickey was born January 20, 1957 in Miami, OK to Thomas and Charlotte (Stanley) Crawford.
She had lived in Picher, OK all of her life before moving to Joplin in 2005. She was a 1975 graduate of Picher-Cardin High School.
Vickey had worked for Joyful Learning Center and Sunkissed Floral in Miami, OK, Ole Miner's Pharmacy in Picher, OK and currently was working for the Ottawa County Clerk's Office. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Picher for many years.
Vickey married Billy Joe Phillips on June 4, 1976. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include her son, Michael Phillips and his wife Rayma of Webb City, MO, her daughters, Angie Thomure and her husband John of Fairland, OK and Kristin Sageser and her husband Travis of Carthage, MO, her parents, Tommy and Charlotte Crawford of Miami, OK, her sisters, Anita Carnes and her husband Spud of Miami, OK and Teresa Koronis and her husband Nick of Miami, OK and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church in Miami, OK with Rev. Dustin Ledford officiating. Interment will follw in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. Matt Carnes, Nick Koronis, Brett Freeman, Lucas Freeman, Mike Horn and Scott Freeman will serve as pallbearers. The family will recive friends Tuesday evening, July 25, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
