Norma Mayes, age 81, of Webb City, Missouri passed away Thursday July 13, 2017 following a short illness.
She was born July 31, 1935 in Webb City, Missouri to Lawrence and Vivian (Norman) Dunlap.
Norma worked as a clerk for Bruner Pharmacy in Webb City, Missouri and she also had worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Webb City, Missouri and was a dance instructor. She was a member of Briarbrook Golf, and previously served on the Law Council. She enjoyed working in her yard and being outdoors.
She married Jerry Mayes in June, 1958 and he preceded her in death on September 2, 2010. Also preceding her in death are her parents, one daughter, Becki Brown and an infant sister.
Norma is survived by one sister, Kay Scott and husband William, Urbandale, Iowa; two grandchildren, Shane Mullins, Webb City, Missouri, Alexi Brown, Webb City, Missouri, and one son-in-law Steve Brown, Webb City, Missouri.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am Wednesday July 19, 2017 at Grace Pointe Assembly of God, 1605 S Baker Blvd, Carthage, Missouri with Pastor Chad Degonia officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date.
