Joan McKeehan, age 75, Joplin, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Mercy Carthage after an illness.
Joan was born July 16, 1941 in Webb City to the late Paul Leroy Goodpasture, Sr. and Viola Lee Perry Goodpasture and had lived in the Joplin area all of her life.
Joan worked in production at the former Meeker Leather Company for several years and at Tyson Foods, Inc. She also worked as a caregiver in the healthcare industry.
When not working, Joan loved spending time with her family and the occasional trips to the local casinos.
She married Delno Don McKeehan in Joplin. He preceded her in death.
Joan was also preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Harmon and Crystal Colley; a son, Charles Franklin McKeehan; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Delno McKeehan, Kenneth McKeehan and Earl McKeehan, all of Joplin; two sisters, Leona Owens and Carol Baum, both of Webb City; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, including Harlin Jones and Ariana Jones, whom she helped raise.
Services are planned for Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Hornet Christian Church. Butch Ward will officiate. Interment will follow at Hornet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl McKeehan, Cody Harmon, Dakota McKeehan, Jay Allen McKeehan, Glen Watkins, Aaron McKeehan, Bobby McKeehan and Frankie McKeehan. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
