Mitsuko Gima Harrington, 80 of Seneca passed away July 9, 2017 following a short illness. She was born June 5, 1937 in Irabu of the Ryukyu Islands south of Japan.
She married the love of her life Ralph J. Harrington March 22, 1960.
Mitsuko retired from Eagle Picher, Ind. after 20 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, watching television. Her home and family were her life’s joy. She was one of a kind. Her outlook on life was unique and simple. She always had a smile for you and if you were around her, she would have a smile on you.
Survivors include husband of the home, daughter Tomoko and husband Lorin Curtis of Granby, MO, son Kenji and wife Trisha of Baxter Springs, KS, son Steve and wife Jane of Lawrence, KS, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
She will be sorely missed.
Visitation and funeral will be held at Bethel Baptist Church of Seneca on Saturday July 15th at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm consecutively. Graveside will be at Kirk Cemetery in Seneca.
