Kevin Ewing

Mr. Kevin James Ewing, 31, of Chanute, Kansas, departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at his residence.

Kevin entered this life on January 17, 1986, in Iola, Kansas, born to the union of Floyd and Barbara (Sprague) Ewing. He was a graduate of Humboldt High School and Neosho County Community College in Chanute. He was employed by Wal-Mart in Chanute for six years working in their security division. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, bicycling, art projects, World of Warcraft, music and Jiu-jitsu Martial Arts.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Julianna Ewing.

Kevin is survived by his father, Floyd Ewing of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two brothers, Matthew Ewing of Neosho, Missouri and David Sprague of Edwardsville, Kansas; paternal grandmother, Patricia Kay Womelsdorf of Bella Vista; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and many close friends in Chanute, who will dearly miss Kevin.

Funeral services for Mr. Ewing are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Steven Englert officiating. Burial will follow in the Tracy Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Aaron Ewing, Landon Ewing, Galvin Emerson, Daton Aubrey, Donovan Taylor and Seth Kirk.
