CLINTON DALE MUSGROVE, 80, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in Katy, Texas.
Clinton was born December 24, 1936, in Carl Junction, Missouri. The son of William Martin and Edna (Hoppe) Musgrove, he grew up and attended school in Oronogo, Missouri. After graduating from high school, Clinton enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1955 - 1958 during the Korean Conflict, attaining the rank of Airman First Class before his honorable discharge. He then attended Pittsburg State University.
On December 4, 1957, Clinton married Janice Oliver in Oronogo, Missouri. Clinton and Janice have made their home in Brookshire since 1978. During his working years, Clinton was employed as teacher at Lamar Consolidated ISD. He was a member of the Lone Star Packard Club and enjoyed car restoration and photography.
Clinton is survived by his wife of almost 60 years: Janice Musgrove of Brookshire; four daughters: Elaine Edgington and her husband, Jeff, of Middleton, Ohio, Teresa Kubena and her husband, Dennis, of Weimar, Texas, Rita Boyer and her husband, Patrick, of Carl Junction, Missouri, and Sandy Jackson and her husband, Eddie, of Brookshire; five grandchildren: Rachel Edgington, Nathan Edgington, Kristin Taylor, Nickolas Jackson, and Shelby Jackson; one great granddaughter: Kaitlyn Taylor; his sister: Pat West of Oronogo, Missouri; and his brother: Tom Musgrove and his wife, Kay, of Carl Junction, Missouri; along with many other dear friends and other relatives. Clinton was preceded in death by his parents.
Local graveside services with full military honors will be on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:30 AM in Weaver Cemetery. The family will have a visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
