Leonard Hall

Leonard Edwin Hall, 86, of Galena, KS passed from this life on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Galena Nursing Center.

Leonard was born on June 22, 1931 in Blackwell, OK to the union of Carl Floyd and Emma Evalena (Andrews) Hall. Leonard graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1949. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. He then worked for Midwestern Oil Company in Joplin, MO for many years as a warehouse supervisor. Leonard was a member of the Baxter Springs V.F. W. Post 408. Leonard enjoyed taking trips, riding on his motorcycle.

Leonard was united in marriage to Mary Alice (Wenzel) Hall on March 22, 1952 in Arkansas. She precedes him in death. Also preceding Leonard in death are his parents and one brother, Mahlon Hall.

Leonard is survived by one son, Jeffrey Hall of Webb City, MO; daughter, Linda Brown of Parsons, KS; three brothers, Donald Hall of Eufaula, OK, Wilford Hall of Wichita, KS, and Carl James Hall of Moscow, ID; five grandchildren, along with several great and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2017 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Galena, KS. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m., at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Memorial donations may be made to Baxter Springs V.F.W. Post 408 in memory of Leonard.
