James Reginald Wingert, age 71, of Lamar, Missouri passed away April 24, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
James was born March 13, 1949 in Albert Lea, MN to Reginald C. Wingert and Kathryn Jane (Hassing) Wingert. James graduated from Golden City High School and served his country in the United States Army. On September 26, 1977, James married Joyce Ann Seibert in Miami, Oklahoma.
James was a truck driver for many years and had worked at Lamar Ford as a tractor mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering with tractors as well as Draft Horse Pulls.
Survivors include two sons, Kelly and his wife Kristull Wingert, Nevada and Lynn and his wife Julaine Seibert, Sheldon, MO; one daughter, Jamie and her husband Heath Brown, Walker, MO; seven brothers, Eugene, John, Edward, Charles, Thomas, Dennis, and Robert Wingert; four sisters, Mary Conway, Ruth Rice, Charlotte Scott and Rita Lehman; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding James in death were his parents and his wife Joyce.
A graveside service will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Bakers Grove Cemetery.
