Richard Lynn Louderback, son of the late Murel and Edna Avis (Johnson) Louderback was born August 15, 1944 in Iola, Ks., and departed this life on May 30, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He had attained the age of seventy-five years, nine months and fifteen days.
Richard had resided in Ellsinore, Mo., for the past twenty plus years. He was of the Baptist faith. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and had the gift of gab and never met a stranger. He was a very talented carpenter that could design and build anything you wanted. Richard was very thoughtful and loving man providing for his family and anyone that needed his help. No matter how hard he worked, he always made sure there was time for a cold beer!
He is survived by his daughter, Christi Dawn Tomlinson and husband Jeff of Sherman, Tx; his two sons, Kelly Louderback and wife Cindi of Lamar, Mo., and Kevin Louderback of Mt. Vernon, Mo; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Louderback of Prescott, Az; two sisters, Donna Johnson of Lamar, Mo., and Beverly DeBusk and husband Dave of Las Vegas, Nv; Maxine Louderback of Lamar, Mo; many nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by Jill Shelton, his significant other and friend for over twenty years; three brothers, Wayne Louderback, Robert Louderback and Murel Louderback, Jr., four sisters, Dorothy Louderback, Mildred Work, Bonnie McCune and Shirley White.
A memorial service with military honors will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Daniel Funeral Home.
