(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)On Sunday, December 6, Carl McCulley, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at his home just a month before his 90th birthday.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rosemary; children and spouses, Douglas & Brenda McCulley (Fanwood, NJ), David & Pam McCulley (Webb City), DeAnn & David Kolkmeyer (Joplin), Angie & Lee Jennings (Clever, MO), Danny & Kim Cartright (Baxter Springs, KS); 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Born in Joplin to Andrew Raymond & Emma (Stehm) McCulley, January 14, 1931, he was a graduate of Joplin High School and was a veteran of the USAF serving right out of high school. He then earned degrees from Joplin Junior College, and Pittsburg State, living most of his life in Joplin & Carthage, before moving to Webb City ten years ago. An accountant, he retired from Tri State Motor Transit.
He was an excellent writer, taught Sunday School classes, and enjoyed swimming, tennis, and bike riding. He had been an active member of College Heights Christian Church for many years. Previously a part of First Christian Church, Carthage, and Blendville Christian Church.
Funeral services has been scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friday.
