(From Clark Funeral Home)Clarence H. Vinson was born March 18, 1929 in Enid, Oklahoma, the son of Clarence L. and Ivy (Eoff) Vinson. He entered into rest on December 9, 2020 in Joplin, following a brief illness at the age of 92.
Clarence served his country in the Army Air Corp, March 1946-January 1949. He worked in construction and as a maintenance supervisor. Clarence enjoyed working in his yard, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, he was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 513.
He resided in St. Louis for many years before relocating to Neosho in 2018 to be with family and enjoyed time spent with his family. He was of the Southern Baptist faith.
Clarence married his wife, Margaret on April 21, 1951 in St. Louis and she preceded him in death in November of 2011, sharing 60 years of marriage.
He is survived by his daughter, Anne Tindall and husband, Eugene of Joplin; two granddaughters, Sara Albright and husband, Tyler and Allison Tindell; one great grandson, William Henry Albright; two brothers, Eugene Vinson of Ft. Worth, Texas and Irvin Smith of Dupo, Illinois and one sister, Mary Alice Beckerdite of Raymore, Missouri.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Garry Vinson and Earl Smith and a sister, Thelma Mathis.
