(From Bella Vista Funeral Home)Oliver Junior Landers, 86, of Pineville, Missouri, passed away on February 19, 2023, at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.
Junior was born on September 27, 1936, in Jane, Missouri, to Oliver (Bud) Landers and Jewell (Gardner) Landers. He married Mary Kathleen Geller on August 24, 1963. They had two children, Melissa, and Larry. Junior enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and going to casinos.
He owned and operated Landers Service Station in Pineville for decades. Many locals remember Junior’s trademark closing line of “thank you, you bet, come back” and his offerings of bubble gum and suckers. He was known for helping many people.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Shirley Landers.
Junior is survived by his wife, Kay; children, Melissa Jordan and Larry (Amy) Landers; brother, Arnold Landers; and grandsons, Eli, Grant, and Kyle.
No services are planned per Junior’s request.
