Suzanne Marie Becker, age 63, of Granby, Missouri, passed away at 11:29 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at her home. She was born May 16, 1959, in El Paso, Texas, to Benny J Hendon and Peggy L. Cosby.
Suzanne moved from Texas to the Newton County community in 1968 and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Granby. She had a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and worked as a Family Support Counselor for the Department of Economic Security. Suzanne also ran the Salvation Army in Newton County. She loved to serve others and lived to serve her Savior through her works and personal testimony.
She is survived by her two sons, Scott Becker and his wife, Rhonda, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Paul Becker and his wife, Amanda, of Billings, Missouri; her mother, Peggy Cosby; seven grandchildren, Maxim, Maycee, Roxy, Jeffrey, Khloe, Halle, and Penelope; two sisters, Linda Norris and her husband, Jim, of Allen, Texas, and Janet Hendon of Granby; one brother, Ben Hendon of Plano, Texas; and her beloved friend and confidant, Michael Yates.
Her father, Benny Hendon, preceded her in death.
Suzanne shared, “He has heard my pleading and the prayers of others, and his will is accepted. I believe in prayer to God our Father through His Son our Savoir. I hope to be able to watch over loved ones on earth, and I am excited to be united with loved ones who have left this earth.”
The family has requested flowers be sent to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Clark Funeral Home in Granby has conducted arrangements.
