(From Parker Mortuary)Larry Bjorklund was born October 12, 1955, in Buffalo, Minnesota, and was the fourth, and only son, of six children to Paul and Kate Bjorklund.
From a young age he worked with his dad, Wild Paul the Tire King, and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1974. Throughout his young career he continued to work with his dad, started and ran 11 businesses, and was a professional snowmobile racer.
In 1984 he gave his life to the Lord, moved to Oklahoma, and attended Rhema Bible College from 1988 to 1989. He raised five children: Jessie, Cody, Weston, Michayla, and Rebekah. They were his pride and joy. He spent two years preaching in Evanston, Wyoming, before permanently moving to Joplin where he preached at Abundant Life Christian Center for the remainder of his life.
He is survived by his sisters, Judy Bjorklund, Jan Heyerdahl, Tammy Jacobs, and Debbie Shadduck; his five children, Jessie (Hannes), Cody, Weston (Maria), Michayla, and Rebekah, and he was “Pops” to his grandchildren Luca and Emilia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Kate Bjorklund, and sister, Joyce Stocke.
The family will hold a celebration of his life on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Joplin Family Worship Center, 5290 E Seventh Street, Joplin, MO 64804. The service will be livestreamed for those who want to join celebrating Dad but cannot attend in person. It will be broadcasted on the JFWC Facebook page and on jfwc.tv on Youtube.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
