Larry Kohler

Larry Kohler passed away on August 16th, 2023 at home. Larry was born April 13, 1952 to Alvin Thomas and Fernetta (Watson) Kohler. He attended Spring City and Seneca schools. He was a lifelong carpenter and painter, also having several businesses, including a video store and working for several companies, including Sitton MotorLine and retiring from the City of Joplin.

Larry was an excellent sketch artist, made traditional bows and was a self-taught musician. He enjoyed finding bargains at flea markets and garage sales.

He was a Christian attending James River Church and loved sharing the gospel with others. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Wanda Hughey and a brother Darrel Kohler. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Crystal; his sons, Donnie (Diane), Steven (Jeanie), and Jarred; a granddaughter Stormy Stanley, a brother Gary (Connie) and a sister Brenda Rinehart, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
