Bruce Davidson

Bruce James Davidson, age 88, of Webb City, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at his home, surrounded by family.

Bruce, son of the late Raymond and Ada (McNickle) Davidson, was born on February 5, 1935, in Cleveland, OH. He grew up in Ohio and then enlisted in the United States Army. During his time in the Army, he served as a signal operator and earned a good conduct metal. 

After serving his country honorably in Korea, he returned to find work with the railroad. He began working on the rail yards and over the years worked his way up to payroll supervisor for Amtrak until his retirement. 

He was blessed with four amazing children who gifted him with eight awesome grandkids and two beautiful great grandkids. Bruce will be remembered for his simple humor and sound advice. He will be missed but is now home with his mother, father, and his first love Marilyn Genovese that he laid to rest long ago.

 

Survivors include his children, Bruce C. Davidson, of Media, PA, Donna L Charter, and her husband, Michael, of Jericho, VT, Frank Davidson, and his wife, Kerry, of Northeast MD, and Victoria Venezia, and her husband, Michael, of Webb City; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will hold services with military honors at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
