(From Daniel Funeral Home)Charles Clark Hamman IV, of Golden City, Missouri passed away August 18, 2023 at the age of 57. Charles was born on November 14th, 1965 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to father, Charles C. Hamman III and mother, Susan Martin Hamman. He was the only boy, with one older sister and two younger ones.
Charles graduated from Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan in 1984. He then flew home to the United States, where he met the love of his life, Kara. They married four years later on August 20, 1988.
Charles worked many different jobs and loved to work with his hands. He was working at Pitt Plastics in the Maintenance Department at the time of his passing. Charles was the best man you could have known. He was easy to talk with, and always had time for a conversation. He was loving, kind, sharing words of comfort and encouragement with everyone he knew.
Survivors include his wife, Kara Lee Hamman; one son, Ethan (Amanda) Hamman of Ruston, Louisiana; one daughter, Meagan (Mason) Allen of Golden City, MO; his mother, Susan Martin Hamman VonCanon; his mother-in-law, Donna Shaw, both of Golden City, MO; four grandchildren, Anastasia, Charlie, Sam and Ellie; three sisters, Michelle James of Carthage, Missouri, Autumn Wyatt of Pascagoula, Mississippi and Rachel (Dan) Crabtree of Germany, along with several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles; his father-in-law, Gary Shaw and brother-in-law, Chris Shaw.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2023 at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, MO.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the funeral home.
