David Fritchey

David O. Fritchey was born May 25, 1939, in Joplin, Missouri, one of three children to Oral and Mary (Avery) Fritchey. He entered into rest on August 18, 2023, at his home, at the age of 84.

David was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Neosho High School. He worked as a lineman for New Mac Electric for 32 ½ years. He enjoyed camping, traveling, working in his shop, cutting wood and gardening. He was of the Baptist Faith. 








On September 5, 1959, in Miami, Oklahoma, David and Janice Meister were united in marriage and she survives. 

In addition to his wife of sixty-three years, David is survived by three children, Lana Sarratt and husband, Darrell of Goodman, Missouri, Michael Fritchey and wife, Mary Ellen of Grove, Oklahoma and Sandy Sarratt and husband, David of Goodman, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Drew Sarratt and wife, Danielle, Lacy VanDorn and husband, Marcus, Misha Honey and husband, Jared, Isaac Fritchey and wife, Tara, Crystal Sutton and husband, Logan, Jaime Shaver and husband, Jesse, Jenniffer Sarratt and Nikki Sarratt; twenty-three great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Shirley Strait and husband, Bob of Granby, Missouri. 







 In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Janet Winchester. 

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Michael Fritchey will officiate. Interment will follow in the Belfast Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Drew Sarratt, Isaac Fritchey, Jared Honey, Marcus VanDorn, and Bob Harris. Honorary pallbearers are Jake Williams and Joe Freund. The family will receive friends, Monday, August 28, 2023, from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
