(From Parker Mortuary)Cory Michael Fitzjohn, age 23 of Joplin, passed away due to injuries of an accident he sustained on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Cory was born February 23, 2000 in Joplin to Craig Fitzjohn and Barbara (Vance) Jordan.
Cory was a free-floating spirit, and lived life as it came his way, moment by moment. In Cory’s words, “I’ll let my soul do the rest.”
Surviving Cory include his father, Craig Fitzjohn and Beth Hall of Webb City; mother, Barbara Jordan and husband, Peter of Joplin; daughter, Avalon; half-brother, Cody Jackson; grandmother, Sharon Fitzjohn.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Craig Luke Fitzjohn, passing in 2017.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
