(From Daniel Funeral Home)Kimberly Sue Chaligoj was born on July 22, 1966 to Larry and Vallie Cook in Wurzburg, Germany. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 11, 2023 at her home in Jasper, Missouri.
Kim graduated from Jasper High School in 1984. After high school, she was blessed with her first daughter, Kadey Emelyn Cook in 1985. She was united in marriage to Phillip Scott Chaligoj on August 9, 1986. This union was blessed with three daughters; Reba Kamilia "Kamey" Irene Chaligoj, Kerey Elizabeth Chaligoj and Kenedey Mary Elle Chaligoj.
Kim's most passionate career was as a preschool teacher. This career was a preview into the love she would have for her grandchildren. Later in life, Kim began a long career with the Lamar Walmart. She was often asked to travel to other stores to help where she was needed. Her cheerfulness and smile allowed her to make many friendships and connections along the way.
In the fall of 2013, she welcomed her first grandbaby, a grandson name Beau. Approximately a month later, she welcomed her second grandbaby into the world, a granddaughter named Aurora. She was blessed with her second granddaughter, Colbie, in the fall of 2016. She was lovingly referred to as Lola by her grandchildren. Kim cherished her time spent with her grandchildren. Her heart was full when she was with them.
Kim always had a positive attitude and trusted God. She raised her family in the Jasper United Methodist Church, but most recently attended Oakton Methodist Church.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Larry Cook, paternal grandparents, Walt and Reba Cook, maternal grandparents, Archie and Irene Brewer and her uncle, Mark Brewer.
Kim is survived by her husband, Phil Chaligoj of Jasper, MO; four daughters, Kadey Cook (Chris Hull) of Webb City, MO., Kamey Stollings (Ryan Stollings) of Osceola, MO., Kerey Chaligoj of Greenville, TX, and Kenedey Chaligoj of Jasper, MO.; three grandchildren, Beau, Aurora and Colbie; mother, Vallie Cook of Carl Junction, MO.; one brother, Rob Cook (Jinda Cook) of Thailand; one sister, Caralee Collier (Jamie Collier) of Joplin, MO., and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Nashville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the funeral home.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to Daniel Funeral Home to help the family with final expenses or Faithful Friends Animal Advocates in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
