(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Anna Marie Holliday-Midcap, 68, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, in Carthage, Missouri. Anna was born July 15, 1955, in Carthage to Robert Raines and Phyllis Ann Weber. Anna was a lifetime Carthage resident. She was a homemaker and seamstress.
Anna owned and operated Sewing Secrets. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and was active in Parish Counsel of Catholic Women, a former organist, and ALWAYS willing to serve at the church.
Anna was united in marriage to John W. Holliday on September 29, 1973, in Carthage; he preceded her in death on July 5, 2008.
Anna was then united in marriage to Forrest Midcap on November 10, 2015, in Webb City, Missouri; he also preceded her in death on September 18, 2020.
Anna is survived by her two sons, Andrew Holliday (Cheryl) of Sarcoxie, Missouri and Jason Holliday (Melanie) of Joplin, Missouri; three brothers, Joe Raines, Stephen Raines, and Tony Raines; one sister, Linda Rust; six grandchildren, Jacob, Macy, and Taylor Holliday, Stephen Colvin, and Wyatt and Baylee Holliday; and nieces and nephews.
Anna is preceded in death by her husbands, John Holliday and Forrest Midcap; and a sister, Martha Hoover in 1973.
A Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2023, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Carthage, Missouri. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary starting at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. Burial will be at Ozark Memorial Park in Joplin, Missouri.
