(From Ozark Funeral Home)On August 15th, 2023, Glenn 'Allen" Sewell, 79, passed away at his home in Anderson, Mo, after a short illness.
Allen was born to the late, Ralph Sewell and Christine Henry (Gandy) on January 20th, 1944 in Joplin, Mo, but spent most of his life in southern California until moving back to Missouri recently, due to health issues. Allen served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war on the USS Shelton DD-790. He worked and retired as a manager of a mobile home addition and remodeling company in Huntington Beach, Ca.
Allen had a love for classic cars. This was his passion and had several different cars throughout his lifetime. He loved going to car shows and won several awards and trophies. He met some of his closest friends through his love of cars and they all love and care for Allen deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Sewell and a sister, Pamela Thurlo.
Allen is survived by his daughter, Christie Westgate and husband, Robert, four grandchildren, Justin Sewell and wife Summer, of El Paso, Tx, Brock Dalton, of Anderson, Mo, Shelby Lowe and husband, Dylan of Charleston, Ar, Christopher Harbaugh of Anderson, Mo and two great-grandchildren, Charlie Sewell, of El Paso, Tx and Jack Lowe, of Charleston, Ar.
Allen wishes to spend eternity among the seas and his ashes will be spread in the Pacific Ocean at a later date.
