(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Don Chapman, age 71 of Webb City, Missouri passed away Monday August 14, 2023.
He was born December 14, 1951, in Nevada, Missouri, the son of Dorothy Defreese (Chapman) and Don Chapman. He grew up and attended school in Sheldon, MO where he resided until his relocation to Webb City.
Don drove for United Parcel Service of Joplin for over 30 years until his retirement where he made many lifelong friends with coworkers and patrons on his route.
He was an avid sports fan who followed many of the local area teams including Webb City and Missouri Southern where his sons had played. His greatest passion was that for his family and friends.
Don is survived by his sons, Josh Chapman and his wife Katie with daughters Kelsey and Addie of Green Bay, WI, and Jordan Chapman and his wife Amy and children Tinley, Crew, and Dylan of Carl Junction, MO, as well as his wife Geri Chapman and her three children Jeremy Sargent, Jennifer Rousselot, and Jenae White. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Don was a member of Milford Christian Church and enjoyed getting involved with various church activities. He also enjoyed frequenting all forms bargain hunting opportunities to supplement his numerous projects he had going at any given time. Spending time on, or around the water with family over the years was another passion he had.
“Papa Don” will be greatly missed.

A memorial visitation has been scheduled for Friday, August 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mason-Woodard. The memorial service will be held at Milford Christian Church Saturday, August 19th at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Milford Christian Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
