(From Parker Mortuary)Robert L. Howerton, age 57 of Webb City, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at his home. Robert was born March 10, 1966 in Jasper County to the late Ivan and Judith (Jones) Howerton. Robert has lived and raised his family here in the Joplin, Missouri area for most of his life.
He owned and operated Glass Masters, repairing and installing windshields on commercial trucking. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a devoted father, brother, and son. He was fun-loving, kind, generous, caring and full of love. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Surviving Robert includes his children, Nathan Howerton of Webb City and Hayley Wilson (Kaleb), also of Webb City; grandchildren, Desileigh, Ezra and Bellamy; sisters, Melissa Sanders of Sarcoxie, Michelle Fisher of Branson, Marsha Whitford (James) of Galena, Missouri; brothers, Stephen Howerton (Julie) of Kansas City, Missouri, Michael Howerton of Nixa, Matthew Howerton (Tobi) of Joplin and Curtis Howerton (Mandy) of Neosho.
Other than his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Shon Hamsher.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Watered Gardens Chapel at 531 Kentucky Ave, Joplin, Missouri 64801.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
