Beverly Shaw

Beverly Sue Shaw (previously Thogmartin, Parsons, Rolens), age 87, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home on February 29th, 2024.

Beverly was born August 10th, 1936 in Granby, Missouri to her loving parents Dr. Robert Lewis and Violet Rolens. She grew up in Granby and was a lifetime local resident.

She enjoyed spending time cooking and baking. She would make homemade cinnamon rolls on snowy days for the neighbors and family if we could get there.

Beverly and her husband loved to go dancing on the weekends at the hootenanny. They also enjoy going to the senior center in Carl Junction.

She worked at Carl Junction Schools in the kitchen for many years. She also worked part-time for Oxford home health. Beverly enjoyed selling Avon for several years.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by two husbands, Bill Parsons and Morris Shaw, one son, Robert Parsons and two brothers, Frank Rolens and Bob Rolens.

She is survived by two children, Bill Thogmartin (Tammy) and Brenda Boswell (Mike), one daughter-in-law Rene Parsons, four grandchildren, Dustin Boswell, Lucas Thogmartin, Laci Edwards, and Faith Parsons, and three great-grandchildren, Mack, Kate, and Braelyan.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Memorial service to be held 10:00am, Saturday March 9th, 2024 with visitation to follow at Mason-Woodard Chapel, 3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801. Family will private burial at Carl Junction Cemetery at a later date.
