Mr. Jay Carl “Bo” Jessen, 55, of Pineville, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, March 10, 2018, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family, after a two year battle with cancer.
Bo entered this life on April 9, 1962, in Batesville, Arkansas, one of nine children born to the union of JC and Bonnie (Broyles) Jessen. His formative years were spent in Highfill, Arkansas. He moved to Pineville, Missouri, in 1981. Bo was a talented and gifted mechanic. He was employed by the Benton County Road Department as shop foreman. He also owned and operated JC Brushhogging. He enjoyed driving racecars, construction projects, being outdoors and loved making people laugh, was quite the prankster. Bo was of the Baptist faith.
His father, JC Jessen, preceded him in death.
Bo is survived by his wife, Tracy Jessen of the home; five children, Leah Berke and husband, Riley, of Canada, Jay Douglas Jessen of Anderson, Trenton Jessen and wife, Jessica, of Pineville and Spencer and Landen Jessen both of the home; five grandchildren, Kali, Elexis, Kaelyn, Lachlan and Ava; his mother, Bonnie Jessen of Pineville; two brothers, James Jessen of Centerton, Arkansas and David Jessen of Pineville; six sisters, Sherry Gosser of Fifty-Six, Arkansas, Linda Bowden of the state of Maine, Frances Pitts of Fifty-Six, Arkansas, Rosemary Jessen of Pineville and Donna Miller of Decatur, Arkansas, Della Guyll of Jane, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Jamey Cope officiating. Burial will follow to the Jessen Family Memorial. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Jay D. Jessen, Trenton Jessen, James “Jimbo” Jessen, Rusty Jessen, David Jessen, David Spencer, Spencer Jessen and Landen Jessen.
