Wanda Louise Maples age 89 of Alba, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at her home.
She was born on July 21, 1928 in Watonga, Oklahoma to Elbert Driever and Eva (Grimes) Driever. Wanda grew up in Watonga and moved to California in 1944 where she graduated from Elmonte, California where she met Don and they raised their children before moving to Missouri in 1969. She retired from Con Agra, and was a past member of the American Legion Aux 322, and the VFW Aux 7630 both of Webb City.
Wanda married Donald L. Maples on September 17, 1949 in Yuma, Arizona and he survives at the home. She is also survived by her daughters, Nancy Stephenson and husband Eric of Alba, Debra Fetters of Joplin, Margo Byrd and husband Johnny of Carthage, Jennie Lassiter and husband Bill of Oronogo; son, Roy Maples and wife Tammy of Oronogo; sister, Naomi Foley of Mariposa, CA; brother, Donald Driever of Linden, CA; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her Parents, a brother, William Driever, and a grandson, Brandon Stephenson.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Friends cemetery in Purcell with Gene Maples officiating. The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
