Kenneth David (Smiley) Harding was born March 21, 1946 in Neosho. The son of James Kenneth and Farrel Avris (Richardson) Harding, he entered into rest on March 12, 2018.
He was a lifelong resident and graduated from Neosho High School in 1964. He briefly worked at Neosho Box Factory, then went to work at Talbot Wire Products where he was employed for 38 years, retiring in 2008. He met a fellow worker at Talbot Wire who became the love of his life. He and Tonya Parker were married August 7, 2004. She survives of the home. He is also survived by a stepdaughter, Kim Parker, a step-son, Kyle Parker; one sister, Clara Wilson, and her husband Don, of Neosho; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
A memorial/visitation will be held Saturday, March 24 from 2-4 pm in the fellowship hall of New Salem Baptist Church, Norway Road, Neosho.
The family requests no flowers, but cards and notes of remembrance would be appreciated.
