Mr. Wayne Dean Hoy, 64, of Noel, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, after a brief illness.
Wayne entered this life on January 12, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, one of two sons born to the union of the late William and Harriett (Linder) Hoy. He was raised in Parkville, Missouri and was a 1972, graduate of Park Hill Senior High School. On June 18, 1977, he was united in marriage to Paula Killion and together they have shared the last forty years. They have resided in Noel, Missouri, since 1985. He was employed by Garney Construction Company for twenty-five years before owning Hoy Construction. Wayne officially retired in 2008. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, being outdoors and handiwork projects. Wayne was a Christian.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Paula, of the home; three children, Michelle Laber and husband, Craig, of Independence, Missouri, Jeremy Hoy and wife, Misty, of Noel, Missouri and Wendy Collins and husband, Bryan, also of Noel; twelve grandchildren, Kelsey, Leslie, Jesse, Kylie, Deserae, Jaden, Steven, Dannie, Mercadies, Jonathon, Kristina and Jeremy Jr.; a brother, Bill Hoy and wife, Teresa, of Chilhowee, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Hoy are 12:00 noon on Friday, March 23, 2018, in the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Bro. Bob Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Jacob Montague, Rick Winfree, Randy Winfree, Scott Powell, James Walls and Jason “Dick” Cockrum. The family will receive friends on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital c/o the funeral home.
