May Isabell Brown, age 72, of Webb City, Mo., passed away on Wednesday March 14, 2018, at Joplin Health & Rehab Center, following an illness.
May was born on May 12, 1946 in Racine, Mo., the daughter of the late Johney and Lenna Lucille Marie (McGehee) Terry. She has been a lifetime area resident. She worked several years for Cardinal Scale. She married Ray Brown on September 11, 1975 in Miami, Okla.. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marley Wallace; one brother, J.W. Terry; and one sister, Edna Burleson.
She is survived by one son, Voyd Brown and wife Angela, Cassville, Mo.; two daughters, Mechell Calef and husband Mike, Webb City, Mo., and Trace` McMullen and husband Scott, Joplin; two sisters, Shirley Holloway, Seneca, Mo., and Betty Sims and husband Garland, Seneca, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Avery Brown, Raven Gardner, Rayne Gardner, Nattaley Bruce, Chandi Wallace, Camille Wallace, Brooklynn Calef, and Katelynn Calef; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held 2-3 p.m. Saturday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Memorial contributions can be given to the Children’s Tumor Foundation in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
