Wendell Irby Ross of Wyandotte, OK passed from this life Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home. He was 68.

Wendell was born March 17, 1950 in Miami, OK to Preston and Mary (Thompson) Ross. He had lived in Wyandotte since 1997 moving from Tulsa, OK. He graduated from Commerce High School class of 1968. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for many years in Tulsa, OK until his retirement.

Wendell was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gene Ross.

Survivors include 3 sons John Ross of Eagle, ID, Shawn Ross of Washington, DC and Kyle Ross of Quapaw, OK, his daughter Brandy Merrell of Springdale, AR, 13 siblings, Jack Ross, Marilee Squirrel and Nancy Smith of Joplin, MO, Susie Robbins of Wyandotte, OK, Tom Ross of Miami, OK, Carl Ross of Godfy, OK, Captain Ross, Preston Ross, Gary Ross, Randy Ross and Debbie McDonnels of Commerce, OK, Renee Flatter of Grove, OK and David Ross of Wichita, KS and 5 grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Services will be Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK with a visitation following at the funeral home. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 147 Funeral Detail. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
