Jan Chambers Tuggle, age 74, Joplin, passed away at 3:58 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at Mercy Hospital after a short illness.
Jan was born May 25, 1943 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late William Emmett DeSherlia and Blanche L. Carter DeSherlia and had lived in Joplin most of her life.

Following her life on the road, Jan worked as a customer service agent at Aegis Communications for several years. She enjoyed people and keeping busy.
Jan was a world class bowler. She was a member of several bowling leagues at Carl Richard's 4th Street Bowl, where she won several city championships. Her various trophies and awards included one for bowling a 299 point game. In the early 1970's, she competed in the National Bowling Tournament in Las Vegas.
Jan was most proud of the fact that she obtained her G.E.D. in 2000, just thirty seven years after she was supposed to graduate in 1962!
